rainbow bright

as i said a while ago here, resort 2011 is all about color-blocking with pop-colors and hints of chartreuse and other neons. well, the year has flown by and resort 2011 has hit the stores. even though it hasn’t risen above freezing in weeks, and the thought of putting on a sleeveless shirt makes me nauseous because i’m so pale, there are things you can do to brighten up your winter wardrobe.

below are some items you can mix into your winter wardrobe, so like me, you don’t end up in black, grey, or brown all winter long!

1.) equipment green shirt-great to wear under blazers right now and some skinny jeans

2.) NARS jungle-red lipstick & NARS jungle-red nail polish–i love this because red is one of the colors that is complimentary to paler skin

3.) forever 21 ruffle skirt–you could pair this with a cream sweater and grey tights

4.) rag & bone carmel dress–such a great investment piece because you can wear it year-round (tights and long cardigan in the winter) and dress it up or down!

5.) tory burch small bev bag–i love this bag beacause it has a quilted, puff look that is winter, but it’s that pop, spring color

6.) kate spade janelle skirt–how great would this look with black tights and the #8 booties?! (ps-this outfit was in my dream last night-sad, i know)

7.) zara dress with flared skirt–with black tights and patent leather booties? so cute!

8.) kate spade bessie booties–LOVE these…they are such a unique shape and color

9.) twenty8twelve petunia cardigan–one of my favorite pieces i’ve seen in a while–what can you not wear with this?

10.) forever 21 suede pups–perfect for any neutral outfit

11.) marc by marc jacobs small party foret bag–great with all black
